Surrender Procedures
This notification serves two purposes regarding owner surrender requests.
- To make you aware of our policy and how to contact us regarding taking a dog.
- To inform you that DARE, will not under any circumstances take responsibility (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise) of a dog without the proper written (emailed) authorization from our Intake Coordinator or a member of the current DARE board as listed on the website.
ALL surrender requests MUST come through the form below
Only the current board listed on DARE’s website OR our intake coordinator can authorize acceptance of a dog into DARE’s foster program.
Members and Volunteers of DARE are ONLY allowed to take possession of a new foster AFTER authorization has been given by the Board or Intake Coordinator in writing (email), regardless of whether the person accepting the dog is or has been associated with DARE.
